Mumbai: Shekhar Suman puts his life’s savings to relaunch son Adhyayan

Shekhar Suman, who makes his directorial debut with ‘Heartless’, has put all his life’s saving to relauch his son Adhyayan’s career with the film.
A friend of the family said, “Shekhar has put every penny that he ever made in his career into Adhyayan’s comeback. He has paid a whopping Rs. 5 crores for the remake rights of the 2007 medical thriller ‘Awake’. We’ve even heard that Shekhar has mortgaged his residence for his son’s film.”
When asked about the extreme measures taken for his son’s sake, Shekhar doesn’t deny the financial extremity of the project. “Heartless is a do-or-die project for me and Adhyayan. Yes, I’ve put all my life’s earnings into its making, and why not? Addy is my only son. He’s my world. Besides that, I also think he’s a very good actor. Now when I see the results on screen, I am deeply moved. My son has justified every penny spent on the film. Aur ek baar kyon, baar baar bhi sab kuch dao par lagaane ke liye main tayaar hoon bete ke liye (I am ready to put everything at stake repeatedly for my son).”
When asked about the money paid for the remake rights, Shekhar Suman refuses to divulge the exact amount. “But it was a staggering amount. I was advised to just quietly borrow the original film’s content. I could’ve done that since I’ve completely changed the original content. But I wanted to do this the right way.”
When reminded that global copyright laws have become harsh, Shekhar quickly points out, “Kahaani and Jai Ho got away with quite a lot of inspired content. But I was very sure I wanted to do this the right away. Heartless is not just an acid test for my son, it’s also a new beginning for me. I make my debut as a director. Both my son and I need to prove ourselves.”
Shekhar says, selected preview audiences are surprised by the emotional content of Heartless. “I’m identified with a lot of comic output. Not that they haven’t seen me do serious work. I started my career as an actor with a serious role in Utsav. And here I am pouring my heart out in Heartless.”

Mumbai: Aaradhya introduced to writing on Saraswati Puja

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan says that his two-year-old granddaughter Aaradhya was introduced to education and learning on Saraswati Puja.
The toddler was given a slate and chalk to scribble with.
“This morning early on the 4th (Feb 4) was an auspicious day, Saraswati Puja, a day of learning and education and a prayer to Saraswati the goddess of learning…a small prayer with the staff, and then the most important ritual…the moment of giving Aaradhya a writing utensil and leave it to her to scribble…
“It’s a moment of initiation of the child towards education and learning, after completing two years of age! Its tradition, it is culture, it is cute,” Amitabh posted on his blog srbachchan.tumblr.com Wednesday.
“Aaradhya picked up a piece of chalk and scribbled on a slate. The initiation was complete…” he further posted.
Aaradhya, daughter of Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai, was born in November 2011.

New Delhi: Sonakshi Sinha sheds off extra pounds

‘Dabangg’ girl of Bollywood, Sonakshi Sinha, seems to be working hard to shed off her extra few pounds. Shotgun junior, who has always been comfortable with curves and weight posted a selfie on Twitter showing off her well toned body in black leggings and a spaghetti top.
The stunning picture of Sonakshi, that was taken just after her two hours of workout was captioned, “Woke up at 6am. Dint know what to do. Put on some @asliyoyo music on full blast and BAM – 2 hour workout done! #postworkoutselfie #ifeelgood.”
While the actress has always been in news for her extra pounds, her contemporary Parineeti Chopra, is also working to hard to get out of the “overweight category”. Parineeti recently said in her interview, “My endeavour is to lose weight. I was always put in the overweight category. Earlier, I ignored it and thought I should focus more on acting than all these things. But, it was stupid on my part to think that way, because one has to look good.”
However, the ‘Dirty Picture’ girl, Vidya Balan, still stands firm with her curvacious Indian body and beauty.

Mumbai: 'Talli' Vidya blows flying kisses to film crew

Very soon, Bollywood actress Vidya Balan will be seen in a new avatar, investigating cases and solving them. The Dirty Picture star, who is playing a detective in upcoming film Bobby Jasoos, was high on spirits in the wrap up party, so much so that she couldn’t stand on her own and needed
support.
Dia Mirza’s boyfriend and producer of Bobby Jasoos, Sahil Sangha helped Vidya walk out from the venue to her car.
The Kahaani star’s high heels were also troubling her and the diva was about to take her sandals off when she was reminded by her staff of the prying eyes of the media on her.The diva left the venue after blowing several flying kisses to the crew members

Mumbai: Aishwarya Rai feels overwhelmed to be listed amongst most beautiful

 Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who was ranked fourth in a recent poll of the world’s most beautiful women, says she is overwhelmed with the love showered on her by fans from across the world.

The survey was conducted by international website Hollywood Buzz.
The list saw more than four million people send in their votes selecting the most intelligent, desirable and successful women in 2013-14.
Aishwarya took the fourth place right after actresses Monica Belluci, Kate Upton and Angelina Jolie who took the first, second and third position, respectively.
“The results of this poll by Hollywood Buzz was brought to my notice in fact by my well-wishers whatsapping me…And I must admit its overwhelming to hear that over four million people across the globe have voted and listed me amongst their top choices with such beautiful and talented women,” the 40-year-old said in a statement.
“I say a huge loving thank you to all my well-wishers (fans) for making me smile and always being there for me…More power to our love,” added Aishwarya.

But now, finally they have sorted out their differences and have become close friends.

In several events in past few years, the two gorgeous divas were noticed avoiding each other. Even they haven’t comments on each other in years. But as the time passed and both the beauties have gone away from Salman, the things have become different.
Aish is now married to Abhishek Bachchan and has one daughter too. On the other hand, Kat is also rumoured of dating Bollywood Casanova Ranbir Kapoor. So, they both have moved on and have become friends.
The friendly ties rooted during the shoot of upcoming film ‘Dhoom 3′, where Katrina is playing the leading lady and Aish’s husband Abhishek is also portraying one of the pivotal roles. They met on the Yash Raj Films sets and started talking to each other.

New Delhi: Sonam Kapoor completes six years in Bollywood, thanks fans

New Delhi, Nov 8 2013: Bollywood’s stylish actress Sonam Kapoor, who is riding high on the success of her two back-to-back hits – ‘Raanjhanaa’ and ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ – will be completing six years in the film industry on November 9, 2013. It was the day Sonam Kapoor’s debut film ‘Saawariya’ released.

Sonam Kapoor, who is busy shooting for ‘Khoobsurat’ remake, tweeted , “Tom will be 6 years in the movie industry! Thanks to all of you I’m still around. Lots of love guys!”
Born to actor Anil Kapoor and jewellery designer Sunita Kapoor, Sonam made her debut in Bollywood with director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Saawariya’ opposite Ranbir Kapoor. The film however failed to make its mark in Bollywood.
Before starting her career as an actress, Sonam had worked as assistant director under Sanjay Leela Bhansali in 2004 during the making of ‘Black’.
Sonam Kapoor has done mix genres, she went plain jane for her second outing in Bollywood – Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s ‘Delhi-6′ opposite Abhishek Bachchan in 2009 . Though the movie was acclaimed for its music by Oscar winner A R Rahman and won Best Feature Film on National Integration at 57th National Film Awards but it was a commerical failure.
Sonam Kapoor first tasted commercial success with the romantic comedy ‘I Hate Luv Storys’ opposite Imran Khan in 2010, which was directed by rumoured beau Punit Malhotra.
Next came ‘Aisha’, which was produced by Sonam’s father Anil and sister Rhea. The film, though a commerical failure, brought her acknowledgment as a fashionista and praise for her unique sense of style. ‘Mausam’ in 2011 opposite Shahid Kapoor earned her recognition for her performance.
Inspite of not being able to make a strong hold on Bollywood, Sonam Kapoor was signed as brand ambassador for L’Oréal in 2011, which also took her to Cannes Film Festival that year and since then she has been a regular at the prestigious film festival.
In 2012, Sonam Kapoor’s first release of the year, ‘Players’, a remake of ‘The Italian Job’, also flopped.
But it was year 2013, that brought smiles on Sonam Kapoor’s face and she gave her first huge hit ‘Raanjhanaa’ opposite Tamil superstar Dhanush. Sonam’s role as Zoya Haidar, a headstrong but emotional middle class girl, earned her appreciations from all over as she did full justice to her character.
She next appeared in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s biopic ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ opposite Farhan Akhtar. Her role as Biro was of Farhan’s former love-interest. Her performance also met with positive reviews.
Kapoor girl tops in best-dressed lists, and constantly attracts media attention for what she wears at events and film promotions.
Sonam is currently shooting for Yash Raj Film’s ‘Bewakoofian’ and remake of the iconic film ‘Khoobsurat’.
