Kundapur:Feb.01:The inauguration ceremony of Billava Community Shri Narayana Guru Air conditioned Auditorium became famous with the historical programmes held during the ceremony. The auditorium was scheduled to be inaugurated by the Chief Minister Siddharamayya but in his absence,Legislative Assembly speaker Kagodu Timmappa inaugurated the auditorium. Siddharamayya has to attend an election rally with Congress president Sonia Gandhi at Gulbarga.
Minister Vinaykumar Sorake,former Minister Kota Srinivas Poojari,MP Jayaprakash Hegde,M.N.Rajendra Kumar,MLC Prathapchandra Shetty,businessmen Suresh Poojari S.,Shiv Poojari,Sooru C.Karkera,Suresh Shetty Bellary,V.K.Mohan,Upendra Nayak,Mangalore Billava Union president Naveenchandra Suvarna,Municipality president Smt.Kalavathi,Taluk Panchayath president Deepika Shetty were present on the stage.
Byndoor MLA Gopal Poojari presided over the programme. N.T.Poojari welcomed the guests. Suresh Poojari presented the flower bouquet to the chief guests at the stage. Kagodu Timmappa was felicitated by the community. MP Jayaprakash Hegde released ‘Bhandavya Memory’ book while MLA Gopal Poojari released ‘Billavare Neevu Ballira’ song CD’s. Smt.Kalpana Bhaskar proposed vote of thanks. Dance and mimicri progranmmes were held at the stage.
The crowd applauded when actors Diganth,Vijay Raghavendra,Ragini,Indritha Ray came on the stage. Thousands of people were present at the ceremony.
