Udupi Diocese official monthly “Uzwaad” released by Most Rev Dr. Gerald Isaac Lobo Bishop of Udupi Diocese during the Solemn mass at Attur St Lawrence Church here on Tuesday, 28th January, 2014.
During the brief introduction about release of monthly journal Rev. Fr. Denis D’Sa PRO of Udupi Diocese said that a dream of having an exclusive news journal of the diocese has been fulfilled under the leadership of the Udupi Bishop.
The editor in chief Rev Fr. Chetan Lobo (CFM) capuchin was felicitated by the Bishop after the release for his leading efforts to bringing out the monthly journal. The 32 pages monthly consist of various articles with the aim “Way, Truth and Life”.Earlier, Udupi Diocese published in Ashirvaad souvenir and asked suitable name for the diocese monthly. Therefore diocesan people flooded with various names for the monthly. One person of the diocese sent 293 names for the monthly which will be record. Diocese announced reward of Rs. 5000/= for the suitable name which will be shared around 20 people.
Prior to the release of monthly journal “Uzwaad”, the Solemn high mass concelebrated by Most Rev Dr. Gerald Isaac Lobo along with Very Rev Fr. Valerian Mendonca, Rev. Fr. George D’Souza, Rector of the Shrine, Rev Fr. Denis D’Sa and other priests.
During the 3pm and 6pm mass’s choir was held by Milagres Choir group under the guidance by Rev Fr. Mahesh D’Souza.
